Somewhere in the world it is National Cream Tea Day.
Can you guess where it is?
Of course! England!
I am celebrating it this very morning.
Cream tea is a cup or pot of tea
and
a scone or two or three.
Top the scone with jam and cream.
Do you put the cream or the jam on first?
The Devon way: cream then jam
The Cornish way: jam then cream
Which is best?
You choose, whatever works for you.
Just enjoy!
Happy weekend, dear friends!
Go out and enjoy summer.

Oh my, this calls for some scone baking! Cream tea is so delicious! Happy summer days, Marilyn.
ReplyDeleteHappy National Cream Tea Day! Personally, count me as cream first, then jam.
ReplyDeleteI think I would put the cream on, and then the jam. How interesting that it's National Tea Cream Day in England. When I have a cup of tea tonight, I will remember that. Such a charming picture, Marilyn. I absolutely love that red tea cup. : )

I hadn't realised that it was National Cream Tea day. I would definitely have made scones. I am a jam first and then cream kinda person.
ReplyDeleteWell, that's just way pretty! And no, I had no idea!
