“I hope I can be the autumn leaf,
who looked at the sky and lived.
And
when it was time to leave,
gracefully it knew life was a gift.”
~Dodinsky
The fig tree is about finished with it's gift of ripe fruit
and the leaves begin to yellow and drop to the ground.
What beauty are you seeing in your Autumn days?
You have a fig tree? Marilyn, that is wonderful. Do you ever bake fig goodies? I like the stepping stones to the green house. Such a pretty picture.
ReplyDeleteHave a delightful week, Marilyn.

* I think both of the quotes on my post today I got from your blog. I wanted to thank you again for letting me use them. You surely do have the best quotes and poems out there in blog land. : )
Our fig tree looks much like yours with big yellow leaves that are falling in bunches to the ground. Soon all the leaves will be gone and we'll be left with the skeletons of trees, beautiful in their simplicity.
ReplyDeleteI love that look outside your garden house! So pretty. My ginko just turned yellow over the past couple of days. I might have to dry a leaf or two!
