Garden Quotes 2019

"How silently they tumble down

And come to rest upon the ground

To lay a carpet, rich and rare,

Beneath the trees without a care,

Content to sleep, their work well done,

Colors gleaming in the sun.

At other times, they wildly fly

Until they nearly reach the sky.

Twisting, turning through the air

Till all the trees stand stark and bare.

Exhausted, drop to earth below

To wait, like children, for the snow."

-   Elsie N. Brady, Leaves

For some of you the snow has begun.
For others of us the air cools and water starts falling from the sky.
On the other side of the world from me flowers are beginning to bloom.
Wherever you are may you day be extra special.

  1. What a wonderful poem you have shared on this Monday morning, Marilyn. And the row of mailboxes is delightful. I really miss those old mailboxes. They were so quaint, giving us our own personal mail. ; )

    Have a pleasant November week.
