A Gift for You - A Flower and A Poem

My heart often travels to nature whether it is a walk in the early morning garden to snap a picture or searching in my city of Portland. Yesterday was the first day of Spring; so I went searching for blossoms.  Portland is divided east and west by the Willamette River. There are a varieties of bridges to cross. Along the river on the west side is a Japanese monument with two long rows of cherry trees. Each year we anticipate their blossoms; so off I went to search. As you can see it was a spring, cloudy day; but the rain waited for many to enjoy the blossoms and the first day of Spring.

I am reminded of the seasons and changes as I viewed the beauty of the day.

From Ecclesiastes 3 in the bible comes these words:

" There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace. "

With the blossoming of spring may there come a season of love and peace.

May your week be full of that springtime JOY.
Love and Peace to you all.
