This week I am celebrating turning 80.
One of my best friends, Annette, just turned 60. My daughter, Jill, will soon turn 50.
We had talked about how to celebrate each of us turning a new decade.
When I found a local photographer taking pictures of "gal" friends I decided this is what we should do.
What fun! I loved sharing this with these "gals".
And then D, my one and only grandchild, decided to join us. He recently turned 10.
It was so fun to share this play time with these special ladies.
The photographer knew my daughter and snapped a couple pictures of mother and son too.
I loved it!
Do you take time to play with those you love?
I had not done anything like this before, but it was so worth it.
It was a fun way to celebrate my birthday and theirs.
There is more play this week yet to be had, but I highly recommend this as a way to mark the day.
Happy weekend, dear friends!
You look smashing! Many happy returns of your birthday!
ReplyDeleteYou ladies are all so pretty and obviously having fun in these moments. You got me thinking I want to do this, have a portrait made of special friends and family. A great memento.
ReplyDeleteGosh Marilyn, I always thought you were younger than me - you look/are amazing! My day will come in October - hard to get my head around another '0' birthday!
ReplyDeleteLove you were able to have these really nice photos done - you all look awesome and it's hard to believe (there's that word again!) D is already 10.
Love and hugs from us both xx
Happy Birthday!! What a fun collection of photos for your special day with your best friend, daughter, and grandson. You look great! I didn't realize you were 80! I love the red hearts that the photographer used. And you all look happy, smiles all around. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, Marilyn, filled with all the things you love.
