Monday Linen Days

Today I open my trunk to more linens. You will see embroidery and some crochet.
Small card table size table cloths and large pieces that just drape over the table.
Applique and embroidery plus lots of yellow.

Round table cloths and a small organdy one too.
Decorative edges of crochet or tatting are fun.
Sorting through my linens I was amazed at what was there in
the cupboard and the trunk. There were doilies, tablecloths,
dresser scarves, pillowcases, tea cozies, and aprons.
What fun, I love them all.
Three more weeks to go of Monday Linen Days
and then there will be a special give away. I am not sure what it will be,
but it will be something special from the linen cupboard.

  1. Hi, Marilyn -
I found you through Gracious Hospitality. You and I are near neighbors. I'm in Canby! Your blog has truly delighted my heart - we have much in common. And I love your Monday Linen Days. Such treasures. Can't wait to see more.

  4. Lovely linens Marilyn, and of course you do need more don't you!!? Bet you'll be bringing some home from Provence! I actually purchased the heavy linen/hemp pillow covers from the sofa in our apartment at La Madone!! Be sure to check Nathalie's laundry and amazing linens on the lower level of the house!

Visit me tomorrow for more pics from the garden area - just looking at them again makes me want to go back so much!

  5. Hi Marilyn,
Linens are just the best. I just love 'em and look for them when out and about at yard and garage sales also thrift shops.
Ever once in awhile I'll come across a great find and just have to have it.

One of my pride and joys is the vintage opera cape. A pic is on my sidebar of blog.

I was glad to hear from you and appreciate your comment. I do know the pain of not having health insurance with three young children at home. This happened to us after a lay-off in 1992. It wasn't a fun place to be.

Hope all is going well with you this summer.
    Take care,
    d

  8. Hello darling,
I am back and have missed you terribly!! I have a post on my blog that explains my lengthy absence but enough of that, I just wanted to stop by personally to thank you for the sweet birthday wish you left Cristina and to let you know that your kindness meant the world to us both. I am now off to read the posts that I have missed and to look around your gorgeous blog.
