There is a "secret garden" somewhere in Portland.
A place where you can sit a spell.
Enjoy a time of quietude.
Last week I had the opportunity to take two bloggers I had met online here.
We shared a time of quiet visiting and peaceful picture taking.
Visit Annie at The Best of My Life and Jone at Deo Writer to see their pictures too.
They were much more poetic than myself, but I enjoyed the day in my own way.
The August Break
What a wonderful place to spend time with friends! Thank you for giving us a peek into this secret place.

Beautiful photos, Marilyn. I love the dark backgrounds and the shadows. Nicely done!

Hello Dear Marilyn,
ReplyDeleteThis lovely garden takes my breath away. How wonderful to actually meet with blogging friends and enjoy time together, a good thing indeed.

So wonderful you were able to meet Annie and Jone, Marilyn... and at such a beautiful place! Meeting blog friends for real is such a treat, and enhances the friendship even more, I find. Thanks for sharing a glimpse of your day with us. :o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteI love how you created a collage. I think the beginning poem is wonderful. I would not say we are more poetic than you. It was so much fun. Waiting for the next beautiful blue sunny day to go back. Am taking husband and friend to the Jade Tea House on Thursday.

How lovely! The flowers all seem past their prime where I live, so it's nice to see something lush and green again!
ReplyDeleteMarilyn, I love your collage and most especially the upper left photo and the light the stairs are reaching toward. It's like "Stairway to Heaven" come to life.
ReplyDeleteHere's another food rec for you. We discovered the James John Cafe in the St. John district on Sunday. See my post. Go. Enjoy. I promise, you will love the food and the atmosphere.
What a gorgeous place for a bloggergal gettogether! And everything looks so lush and GREEN there - siiiigh. We've had a very hot summer here on the East Coast and the grass is the colour of masking tape and the leaves on the trees are all wilted. Thank you for the pretty peak into what summer should look like!
ReplyDeleteAnd now I know where we can meet. Please???
ReplyDeleteLove these photos . It is so great to meet others bloggers
