Peak at Autumn

Today I was going to share a look of autumn in my home,
but Blogger is not cooperating with me.

Take a peak from my heart of
the colors beginning to show their pretty faces outdoors.
Autumn has definitely made an appearance here
and we are hunkering down for the long spell of rain and cold.
The teapot is sitting ready for many warm cups of tea.
The sweaters have been pulled out of storage.
And the fragile plants have been brought inside.

What are you doing to prepare?

  1. I love this sweet peak into your heart. As to what I am doing to prepare - tonight I unpack all our sweaters and jackets and coats and switch around our closets. I love this time of year!

  2. I'm getting ready to prepare tea! A warm cuppa for a stormy Oregon day. And I'm preparing firewood for a warm fire this evening after my sweetheart comes home from work. (Not chopping - just gathering in from the woodshed.) I would love to pull out sweaters but I don't have any that fit anymore so my list of things to do this week includes shopping for sweaters in the 'new' size! Not a bad problem - unless you're cold! Loved peeking through the heart at autumn in your part of the woods.

  3. Right now I'm on vacation, but as soon as I get home it's put away the summer and bring out the fall/winter clothes. I also have to trim and clean the flower beds yet!

  5. I'm dragging my feet on bringing in the plants, though the basil has been spending its nights in the garage and getting sun-sad with it. I suppose this weekend I'll clip what's left to dry if we don't cook with it. Lawn furniture is in (OK, two chairs, not hard). Sweaters out. And tea -- every night!

    Do you share such secrets?
