I just love the colors of this time of year.
On a recent visit to the Farmer's Market I couldn't resist
taking pictures of this beautiful color.
The peppers just stood there at attention waiting for me to snap their picture.
The Gravenstein apples had called my name and said, take me home.
Oh yes, they are here now and making the best apple pies ever.
The cauliflower just smiled and showed me it's rosy, golden cheeks.
The artichokes had to shine with their purple flower.
The tomatoes, oh I could just have pinched their red glory.
A visit to the Farmer's Market definitely makes my heart sing at this time of year.
Do you have a Farmer's Market near you?
Oh I hope the things you see there are making your heart sing.

Your PHOTOS are making my heart sing! I do love a farmer's market -- can't resist one or resist all the things I have available when I'm there! But I think capturing it on your camera is the best of all -- thanks for sharing it! (Does Joey have a favorite? I'm thinking he'd have fun batting at the fronds of the fennel!)
ReplyDeleteWhat a poet you are! The photos and words are just delightful!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a farmer's market nearby, but you motivate me to track one down.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo collage. I think this is the first time I've seen artichokes with their purple flowers.
ReplyDeleteOur joys of summer are two different farmer's markets in our area. I love participating in the seasonal changes by what we find to enjoy each month. September is bringing us Honey Crisp apples. Those apples and a wedge of Comte cheese are a favorite of mine.
ReplyDelete.....and amazing purple artichoke (?) flowers popped in there too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty cauli - never seen one so rosy!
We have the huge State Farmers' Market here year round - but it's the smaller seasonal ones I enjoy where you meet the real growers and become friends with them!
