Falling in Love

Zinnia's have never been a favorite of mine,
but for reason unknown to myself I am falling in love with them this autumn.
I just want to search out buckets and buckets of them,
then hug them to my chest.
They are just singing to my soul,
Chrysanthemums and pumpkins do each year;
but zinnia's, now that is a surprise.

    Zinnias have been a favorite of mine for a long time, b/c my grandmother always had them in her garden. I love the vibrant colors!

    I'm just the opposite, M. I love zinnias. Of course, they are an autumn flower and everything autumn is perfectly wonderful, IMHO. LOL.

    There is a barn not far from me that I love to drive past because of its riot of zinnias. It's right off the road and provides an explosion of color and energy. I just saw it this morning. So far, Monday has been just about perfect. :-)

    I love 'em too. The colors are so vibrant and they usually are long lasting.

    I'm not buying any cut flowers lately as I'll be leaving, but I have enjoyed looking at them at Trader Joe's and the Farmers' Market.

    Glad you're enjoying Autumn flowers dear, and I just now that Joey blends right in!

    I know where you took this photo - I was there and they were beautiful! I'm enjoying the colors of Autumn in the garden and the trees all around me.

    I have yellow zinnias in my garden for the first time this autumn. Small, but cute, cute, cute.

    What is singing to me........a tiny little sunflower hidden under a huge fir tree, probably planted by one of our squirrels :-)

    I never much cared for zinnias either until a friend wrote a magazine piece about them and I saw them in a new light! (Although, it doesn't take much to convince me to appreciate *anything* that grows!)
