Yesterday I received Dainty Dining by Angela Webster McRae in the mail.
I was so excited to get my hands on it, as I had known it was in the works
for awhile. Angela put together a lovely tribute to America's department store
tearooms of the past with lovely pictures and recipes too.
This does bring back fond memories of peaking in the doors of some of these
department store tearooms and wishing I could have tea there.
Now I can step inside and savor each moment through Angela's lovely book.
As a special celebration I have an extra book to give to one of my readers.
Please leave a comment here and I will announce the winner on Monday morning.

I have wonderful memories of going to Meier & Frank's tearoom with my grandmother and great-grandmother. I probably was no older than 5 or 6 years. This sounds like a very interesting book.
ReplyDeleteI have a copy, as well, and I'm so excited for Angela! An early congrats to whomever is the winner here!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read Angela's book. Hope Santa brings it to me.

I'd love to enter your draw. I collect tea books as well and would love to add this to my collections.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I don't "know" Angela, but her book looks gorgeous -- in design and taste, too! Of course I'd like to enter! What a thoughtful lovely surprise!
ReplyDeleteHello Marilyn,

I, too, collect books about tea. This looks like a precious memory maker. I'd love to be entered in your drawing. Thanks...and I'm so happy to have found your blog!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow... what a wonderful and very pretty book! I will have to share about this with my Mom. I've always loved hearing her stories about lunch out with her sisters at the big, old department stores. It all sounded so elegant and lovely. I feel like I missed out on something... LOL... You are sweet to share a book with us, Marilyn. Thank you! :o) Happy Week ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Tracy and thanks so much for your review!
