Don't you just love when that winter sun shines in the window.
This week the sun was shining in the window and it just made my heart sing.
The first camellia of the season with the light shining here too.
My heart is rejoicing!
Kitchen Sonnets by Ethel Romig Fuller
My heart is rejoicing!
A Singing Heart
I woke up this morning
To a singing start;
I went about the live-long day,
A song within my heart.
"Sing before you breakfast;
Cry before you sleep,"
Is an old, old saying,
But never one I keep.
I sing, and I go dancing,
With music in my tread,
Until at length I've sung myself
To supper and to bed.
Mine is singing, too!
ReplyDeleteFlowers? Sunshine? Oh, how nice! Add a cup of tea and you have all the best things for making a cheery day. We've had sunshine for a few days this week as well, but now it is gone and we won't be seeing it for two weeks or so if the weather man is right. Today's walk was frosty, gray, and chilly! Brrrr!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm loving the sun again today! Bet you are, too.

I noticed just yesterday our camellia bush is budding, I can't believe yours are blooming already. More sunshine please! You must be sending loving vibes to your plants.
ReplyDeleteIt's a joy to be outside on a day like today. The first camellias are such a happy sight.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a 'dancing Marilyn poem' in fact i thought I was going to see your credit at the end! Just lovely - and the palest pink camellia is a sight to behold - gorgeous!

Oh, this light DOES make the heart sing, Marilyn...*sigh*... Winter is a challenge here with all the cold & snow, but on a sunny day--can't beat the magic light of winter. :o) LOVELY verse today, I'd not come across this one before. Happy Week ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteOur sun has been shinning in the window for the past 2 days...I love it..but I sure see my dust!!! But who cares! Bring on the sun I say.
ReplyDeleteHappy day to you. xoxoo
Your winter sun is indeed lovely. We have so much gray here, especially in the winter, that the sun on a winter day is like a special gift, unwrapped one hour at a time! (By the way, my verification word is behoader, but I'm sure they meant beholder!
ReplyDeleteLove the camellia! The other flowers are beautiful too, but those are special to me. Hugs!
