Sitting with a pot of tea and a friend
creates an atmosphere of well being,
an opportunity to talk, sharing heart songs.
Do you find it so?

Quotes from Haiku for Tea Lovers by David Ash:
on those occasions
when I ask for marmalade,
there has to be tea
a big pot of tea
is built for companionship
and long afternoons
bringing a teapot
to the tray lends an air of
hospitality
Yes indeed. My tea, this week, was at the flea with my sister-in-law, sipping Mexican sodas and enjoying the flavors of a world I don't normal explore.
ReplyDeleteI've found that to be true! Especially when I sit with tea and chat with you.

Hey, that's my everyday china in the foreground! Woohoo! (Sorry, but I brake for Johnson Brothers Rose Chintz.)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I couldn't help smiling at your comment yesterday about how we can't all be "perfect" with our seed starts, because after three days some are already showing leaves, but ... I forgot to write down the last half of what I planted in one tray! Even went through the discarded seed packets ... now is that sweet peas OR Green Zebra tomatoes? Just imagine what the gardens will look like. Oh well, so long as they grow!
So lovely! A pot of tea shared with a friend and watch the conversation flow as freely as the tea.
ReplyDelete*swoon*... I love the poetry form of haiku... And haiku + tea = lovely! ;o) These are sweet verses. And I couldn't agree more...nothing like a pot of tea, a friend and time to share. Thank YOU for all you share here, Marilyn--it's always a treat ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteLovely cup, and you are reminding me it's a little cool in here and tea would be good right now!
ReplyDeleteI'm overdue for a nice teatime with a friend - lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteSo true what a lovely post.
