Tea and Balance

Recently I was given the book, Looking Deeply into Tea,
Thoughts and Prayers by Shelley and Bruce Richardson.
From time to time I will share a thought from this book.

Looking at the woman balancing the teacups on her head earlier this week
I can fully appreciate the following:

Balance

Balance is peace.
It is the present moment.
No dwelling in the past or gazing at the future.

Tea in the teacup,
just the right amount,
makes the perfect cup.

Oh yes, balance.

Macarons found at the Vancouver Farmer's Market,
C'est La Vie, located soon in downtown Vancouver, Washington on Main Street.
The cup and teapot brought out this week to use to celebrate the beginning
feel of Autumn in the air.

  5. That book has been on my list of books to order. Love the photos you've featured today and I'm certain those macarons are as good as they look! It's true life must have balance for order and happiness.

  6. So pretty your images...I am looking for a new teapot and would love to find a huge brown betty somewhere. I am sipping some amazing tea tonight....have you ever heard of David's Tea? It is a Canadian company from Montreal...such yummy teas you should google it...anyways I am a black tea drinker with milk and have never really like a lot of flavourful black teas but they have this new one out called red velvet cake...and I am in LOVE with it.

Hugs to you my friend. xoxoxo

  7. A good quote and I love the seasonal
colours of your tea set and macarons.
I have two large brown teapots - just right for a large gathering. (I inherited one from my mother). I hope Korlee finds one - sorry I can't ship one of mine over.
