Do you take time for tea with a special someone in your life?
Do you drink the same tea when you do?
I saw this garden statuary while walking in my neighborhood recently.
It made me think.
When my husband offers guests tea he is offering Tulsi, holy basil.
This is what he drinks almost every day.
When I offer guests tea it is definitely caffeinated, maybe a special oolong.
Do we drink tea together?
Yes, sometimes; but separate pots of tea - please!
Each of us has different preferences.
What is in your pot or cup today?

I have a friend who enjoys a cup of peach tea first thing in the morning. I have a variety I enjoy from time to time.
ReplyDeleteThe gnome statue is delightful - how lovely that they are sharing a cup of tea too!
ReplyDeleteI like Orange Pekoe so you and I could happily share a cup or two Marilyn!
My husband drinks more coffee but often joins me with an afternoon cup of tea!
hugs

My pot is empty! What was in it before I drank it all was Raspberry Earl - a gift from a dear friend. Earl Grey is one of my favorites and she found this special tea just for me.

Such a fun photo!
ReplyDeleteTea rituals are so important. I share tea daily with those living in my household. I also enjoy a frequent cup of tea (and long conversation) at the home of my neighbor/friend nearby.
I've been sorting through my teas recently. It's time to try some that have been put to the back burner.
The gnome statue is so cute! This reminded me of the animated film Gnomeo & Juliet we watched with our 4 year niece when we were in the US in November--cute! Anyway, I've helped convert my hubby to tea drinking. He's mostly a java man, but he does drink tea now. And so we really enjoy tea time together, especially on weekend when we have more time to be together and enjoy. The ritual of tea in important in my daily life, and had been for a long time. It's been a sweet thing to share with my husband over the years. Today I have in my little pot my favorite tea from London's Fortnum & Mason's, the Royal Blend. Happy Weekend, Marilyn ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteHI - I so loved a cup of tea with my Mom - she was my best tea partner. As I sat and had a cup the other day and looked out my kitchen window which was her kitchen window, well, I felt her with me.,...:-)

peace.....
Love these snuggling little tea drinking gnomes!
ReplyDeleteI would so love to find these gnomes! I unfortunately have no one to share a cup of tea with, but today will enjoy my white tea with raspberry.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I make up two pots of tea when my friend comes over. We usually do like the same type of tea, but it's nice to have a choice.
ReplyDeleteThe little dada horses that my kids got for me did come from a shop in Lindsborg. (They import them) It is such a pretty little town and we have enjoyed our visits there.
Today I am drinking the last of a Kentucky black tea blend that was a gift. Like you, I definitely want the caffeine. And I adore these little garden gnomes--the cutest ones ever!
ReplyDeleteMost of the time my tea is decaf, since I tend to drink it most at night. Rick likes fruity decafs, I like orangey ones! What a cute statuary!
