A Bowl of Sunshine

A bowl of sunshine, yes it is.
In winter we find sunshine wherever we can.
Picture the sunshine that made these beauties grow.
Set them on your table and just savor the color,
the SHINE, and the flavor they share with you.
Where are you finding sunshine today?
May the sun shine on you this weekend.
Enjoy!
Savor!
and
Best of All, SHINE!

  1. I so totally agree! Wonderful orbs of sunshine!

Last week I received a heavy package in the mail. I wondered what it could be. When I opened the box, I discovered it was filled with oranges of all shapes, sizes, and shades. Delicious and sweet. All the way from a dear friend in Florida.

I'm still savoring them and am starting to ration them as the box empties.

  2. If that doesn't make you smile, I don't know what will. love setting out bowls of whole fruit. I do it with lemons and apples all through the year. But at Christmas I go for the mandarin orange. Best little snack ever! (Cuties they call them now.)

  4. I am so glad I discovered your blog, because it really does beautify my day.

I love this sunshine-y post, especially because, as I've mentioned before, I am a Florida girl currently living in Boise...and struggling very much with the cold, gray winters.

But my sunshine arrived Wednesday afternoon, when the UPS man left a Jackson & Perkins gift box at my door . Knowing how difficult the winters are for me, a friend had ordered me a spring bulb garden. Some of the bulbs are beginning to poke through the soil, so I expect that in a couple of weeks, I will be enjoying an explosion of color. Not only the gift itself, but the love behind it is the sunshine in my life this week.

    Blessings,
    Patti
