Driving to the beach just the other day, it was pouring what could be said as, raining cats and dogs.
My heart yearned to visit my favorite beach, but in the rain it wouldn't happen.
As we arrived the rain stopped and the sun came out to greet us.
Oh did my heart sing with JOY.
The word for this year is SHINE and indeed it did SHINE for us.
The sky turned blue with big clouds and the water just sparkled.
Oswald West is not seen from the highway, so if you don't know the beauty
that awaits it would be easily missed.
Just park your car at the highway parking lot and hike about a 1/2 mile to the beach.
The bottom photo is the glimpse of the beach from the trail,
the glimpse that says we are almost there or farewell dear beach.
I have shared my special sky and beach with you before,
but when so in love with this special place - I can't help sharing again and again.
So if you visit Oregon one day, I would say this special beach is a definite place to visit.

ReplyDeletefrom my own beach
& i must say
it makes me happy to see
how beaches are different
around the world ...
i love how you walk thru trees
to get to yours...

i plod across worn
& bleached*out
wooden dune walk-overs,
past wild palmettos
sharp & snake*lively ...
still
all in all
Beaches are the Best,
aren't they ...
teasing us to visit
& to want more ♥♥♥ }}

ReplyDeleteLOVELY... I love me a day at the beach, any beach! As a native in-lander, it was long my dream to live near the sea, by any water... Living near the coast now is such a dream come true! I am thankful every day for sun, sand, sea and sky. :o) Happy Day, Marilyn ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty scenes! Hope you had a wonderful time. Being beside the ocean always makes me feel calmer and lifts the spirits.
ReplyDeleteSuch serenity!
ReplyDeleteI'm catching up - again! No internet while I was away on the Southern Washington Coast. We haven't been to your favorite beach but it's on my bucket list now! Thanks for sharing it with us. Of course you know how I love the beach, too.
