Perfect day! Living abroad I miss the fireworks and fun of the day. Often we have a picnic-like dinner at home, but hubby's been under the weather this week... LOVELY photo, Marilyn ((HUGS)) P.S. I'm closing my PranaLight blog soon, but am making a new creative place to be--more soon! :o)
Love the photo for your post today. For me it's all about the family gathering together - which includes a lot of the things you've listed, but also taking time at some point in the day to be thankful for the privilege of living in "the land of the free and the brave." God Bless America!
Hope you 4th of July was a happy one! If it included all of your favorite things, then I'm sure it was. We celebrated with family while on vacation in RI, a favorite summer tradition!
It's funny, but because all the festivities here got rained out, and rescheduled, I don't feel like I've had July 4th just yet! (It's set for July 13, oddly enough!)

Happy fourth Marilyn, for us it will be a quiet day, spent with my niece and her family.

ReplyDeleteThere's no down side to Independence Day. It's made for fun!
ReplyDeleteFireworks of any kind, american flags, and a cookout all say the 4th to me. Hope you had a great 4th.
ReplyDeleteI love strawberry shortcake, small town parades, lots of small flags as decor and pretty much everything else you have on your list. :)
