A is for Apple and Autumn

A is definitely in my mind for Apples and Autumn.
It must be in other minds also, as these apples were found
at a recent venture to the antique mall.
Love it when nature is shared with beautiful pieces of delight.
Yes, P is for Pumpkin too and on another day there will be Pumpkins to delight;
but for today A is for Apple and Autumn.

What apple do you love to munch this time of year?

In August I munch Gravenstein's, which also make wonderful pies and sauce.
and
Now I am munching Honey Crisp. Oh Yummmmmmm!

I am Fuji apple all the way! The bins are all set out along the road by our house. The picking will begin very soon. It's such a happy time! I love the voices of the pickers as they harvest and hearing the songs they sing as they work.

What a delightful and seasonal way, to display their wares. :-)

Around here, Macintosh apples are always used, for Apple Pies. So those are the ones I'm most familiar with.

For juicing, I'd probably pick another variety.

We had Baked Apples for dessert, on the weekend. :-)

Were those pictures taken at Stars? I'm in the mood to rummage through a good antique store. I'm with you, Marilyn. Gravensteins and Honey Crisps are the best apples.

Bob flew back from NH with a bag of great Macintosh apples right from the orchard he visited - now I need to do something with them before we leave next Wed. I can only eat cooked apples so will be busy!!

Hugs - Mary

A is for Apple and Autumn.. just this week I acquired a box of local organic apples now residing on my counter, a small jug of apple cider in the fridge, and a jar of unsweetened applesauce in my cupboard - it must be autumn!
