Send Me a Letter

Send me a letter.
Mail received here amongst the roses.
I will be waiting and
watching Autumn rolling in.
The days are getting shorter.
Soon we will be tucking into our warm bundles.
Lanterns will be lite.
We will be dancing by the moon and under the stars.
Remember the colors of Spring time and Summer.
Sing songs of laughter.
Remember this day.
Send a letter to a friend.
Wish them happy Autumn days.
Tuck a rose petal between the pages to remember the beautiful days of Summer.
Send them love and a sonnet true.

  3. How sweet is that! The changing of the seasons is a beautiful thing to witness. Looking forward to the cooler days that autumn brings and the peaceful quiet that snow offers.

  7. Oh it's so wonderful to get a letter in the mailbox! Such a lovely field this one is in. We were supposed to end our trip with a visit to Portland! But our friends had to leave town. Love the coast too! Glad you have good memories of the SW! I think autumn is such a lovely time of year. Still loving summer.

  8. Imagine going to the mailbox surrounded by a sea of roses - the perfume would just about knock your socks off!!

I need to buy some pots of mums soon - they are looking pretty and will bring back some color to my dreary garden - not much blooming now.

Hope the mail brings something special today - not just bills and junk!!

    Love you - Mary
