Teacup, teacup, Who has the Teacup

Who needs a teacup?
Certainly not me!
Who can't resist when they find one they love.
That would be me.
After browsing the antique shop at the beach,
I saw this beauty and it came home with me.
For those of you that collect,
it is Spode's Wicker Bell.
There is a wicker pattern on both the saucer and cup
with sweet little yellow flowers.
I do believe it is just perfect for sipping my tea this fall/autumn day.

Need? Who said anything about "need"? That's a beautiful teacup and I think it needed to be with YOU!

very pretty cup, no wonder you must have it. I am usually like that myself, but this morning I went to an antique shop and did find a pretty teacup, I had to keep telling myself NO! I did walk out without it but now wish that I had brought it home with me.

I have seen this pattern - some dishes as I recall - meaning plates, etc. You know, I think maybe a teapot...this is perfect for fall!

Oh, it is just lovely, lovely, lovely! Is yellow your favorite color? I love the shape, design, and color of this teacup. Perfect find!

Oh yes it would have come home with me too Marilyn - who could resist it and it's perfect for your Autumn cups of tea!

I agree there is such detail with the wicker pattern - I'm drawn to the little yellow cowslips painted on the inside of the cup. They are one of my favorite Spring flowers and I have two little plants in my garden!

Have a very happy weekend.

What a pretty one - I'm not familiar with the pattern. When I look at the amount of china patterns available it amazes me..........you can go to Replacements, Inc. biggest dealer in the world I believe for hunting down pieces for a set.....and it's just a hop, skip and jump from here (well actually a few miles!).

Enjoy sipping from this one dear.
Hugs - Mary

That is the perfect cup for a stormy Autumn day! I love the beauty of your new addition to the lovelies you already own. I've seen it before and passed it up - will have to keep my eyes open for another opportunity to find one! I've discovered that I much prefer ironstone cups and saucers to bone china, although I love the beauty of bone china and can't bear the thought of giving them up.
