The grandmother of the groom I delighted in visiting with.
She had known my mother and my family, so it was wonderful to visit with her.
Yes, this was a family wedding and one I so enjoyed.
The day ended with cake and happiness.

Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd raindrops on the bride means luck you know ;-)
Marilyn, I just know you made the best of the situation despite rather inclement weather for an outdoor wedding. It looked really beautiful in that setting though. Wellies would have been appropriate footwear perhaps, and umbrellas rather than parasols I guess!
ReplyDeleteLovely you met some family members. Beautiful flowers, and love the simplicity of the cake, quite old-fashioned and special.
Happy day dear friend - busy day here.
Mary
Beautiful place for a wedding, I love to sit and stare at the water..so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteSo happy that the rain held off, as long as it did. Pretty pictures were able to be taken.
ReplyDeleteAnd with the tent, the festivities could go on, unhampered by the rains.
What a lovely family event. And memories made, by all.

What stunning photos of a lovely wedding! Gorgeous venue, our Oregon liquid "sunshine" is what makes everything so pretty and green. ;) Best wishes to the newlyweds!
ReplyDeleteIt does look like it was just beautiful! Love those flowers and the "candy bar." I'm so very glad you had a tent available! Isn't it wonderful to spend time with someone who knew your mom?
ReplyDeleteThe clouds make the colors even more vivid!

Rain is supposed to bring luck and bless a wedding. It rained on our day, and we've celebrated 30 years now.
ReplyDeleteWishing as many for them.
