Rain and Delight

I have shared this beautiful place before, but not
for an outdoor wedding.

The day had many clouds in the sky,
but there were smiles all around.

The McKenzie River, Oregon

Thankful for a tent.

The rock in the distance is Eagle Rock.
Just beautiful!

Pictures were taken, yet no rain.

The grandmother of the groom I delighted in visiting with.
She had known my mother and my family, so it was wonderful to visit with her.
Yes, this was a family wedding and one I so enjoyed.

The flowers were just lovely.

The table decorations fit the bride and groom perfectly as they both love to hunt.

And the rain did come in a downpour, but still there were smiles all around.

This brought a smile to many.

The day ended with cake and happiness.

And raindrops on the bride means luck you know ;-)

  2. Marilyn, I just know you made the best of the situation despite rather inclement weather for an outdoor wedding. It looked really beautiful in that setting though. Wellies would have been appropriate footwear perhaps, and umbrellas rather than parasols I guess!

Lovely you met some family members. Beautiful flowers, and love the simplicity of the cake, quite old-fashioned and special.

Happy day dear friend - busy day here.

  4. So happy that the rain held off, as long as it did. Pretty pictures were able to be taken.

And with the tent, the festivities could go on, unhampered by the rains.

What a lovely family event. And memories made, by all.

  5. What stunning photos of a lovely wedding! Gorgeous venue, our Oregon liquid "sunshine" is what makes everything so pretty and green. ;) Best wishes to the newlyweds!

  6. It does look like it was just beautiful! Love those flowers and the "candy bar." I'm so very glad you had a tent available! Isn't it wonderful to spend time with someone who knew your mom?

  11. Rain is supposed to bring luck and bless a wedding. It rained on our day, and we've celebrated 30 years now.
    Wishing as many for them.

Everything about it made it a memorable day for all. You captured all of the details with great flair.

Love the s'mores station. Did you enjoy a gooey treat? What fun.

    Have a happy day,
