Colors of the Season

On visiting my local antique mall recently,
I was struck by the beautiful color here.
Do you decorate with traditional reds and greens
or do you like to venture out?
Maybe all white?
Silvers and golds?
Here is another color palette, just beautiful!

It's beginning to look like Christmas around here.
Have a wonderful weekend, dear friends.
Enjoy the moments of the season.

  1. That is beautiful! I've decorated with various colors through the years - blue and white, gold and red, red, green and white but this year my heart longs for natural things. I'm trying to figure that out as I go but it 'feels' right!

  2. I like to change up the way I decorate from year to year. I have never decorated with blue color but I absolutely love seeing Christmas decorations in blue. Happy Holidays!

  3. That's gorgeous. Around here that particular color scheme is also southwest because of the turquoise, silver, and coppery color.

  5. What a beautiful tree Marilyn, I love all the old ornaments like shiny brites that are in all the Christmas colors, and so pretty on the tree.

  7. So pretty! I change it every year, usually with just two colors. Although last year (when Jordana was here) I had two trees - one w/ multi-coloured ornaments from her childhood and one with silver and blue ornaments. But this year, we're keeping it low-key and aren't having a tree at all; just some branches in water, flowers and lots and lots of candles.

  11. That is a pretty Christmas color theme. I like those giant pinecone ornaments on the tree.

  12. That is gorgeous! My tree has ornaments of every color. So there green of the tree becomes the background color that allows it all to co-exist happily.

  13. I would change of up to aquas and browns in an instant. Perhaps post-Christmas sales will yield up some possibilities for a small tree next year.

  14. It's just gorgeous and perfect in that setting.
I'm very traditional with my live green pine tree and decorations collected over the years since 43 years ago when we got married!
I buy one new piece each year and one for my daughter and her family in France!
