It's time then to stop in the midst and take a break.
Enjoy the quiet, the outdoors, nature, and sip a cup of tea.
And watch from the window as the snow gently falls.
Have you ever noticed how the sounds of the earth are
so quiet when the snow is on the ground?
It wraps it in a glorious white blanket of silence and a pause to take note.
Lovely! I adore my alone and quiet time. What a lovely photograph.

Such a lovely, peaceful post, inspiring me to take a few moments to slow down.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful and inviting pictures. They speak of peace and quietness. Just what I needed!
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful thing to be warm and cozy and drinking tea while gazing at a beautiful snowy landscape!
ReplyDeleteVery Pretty, we should all take time to stop and be thankful and enjoy the moment.
ReplyDeleteAll is calm all is bright
ReplyDeleteMuch love and thanks for your beautiful photographs and words.

Such LOVELY images, Marilyn! I've really conscious about tuning into the quietude and spiritual joy this time of year. It's really taking the time to slow down that matters the most this time of year, I find too. Hubby & I went to see the new Hobbit film last night and a meal out--such a treat in the midst of busy days! Tonight some mulled wine and gingercake. Lots of twilight walks to admire the pre-Solstice sky. Being in touch with far away family & friends. Being more intentional with time and what one days is the best gift to one's self as well as other. Doing and giving what matters. There is so much JOY! Happy Holidays, my friend See you in blogland in the New Year when we get back! ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right, Marilyn. Sometimes we need to slow down and process it all -- take a needed break. And what better than with a cuppa, enjoying the Christmassing! Nice post!
ReplyDeleteI love the quiet of a snowy day. It's almost as if the world stops turning for a bit - and all is still and calm.

Lovely photos and of course, tea is always a nice way to relax and relieve some of the hectic pace of the season.
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious Marilyn! I would love to experience one whole Winter with snow - I've never experienced that silence.
ReplyDeleteIt must be quite magical.
Have I ever noticed how the sounds of the earth are so quiet when the snow is on the ground? Actually ... no, because in Georgia we get snow so seldom, everyone's outside whooping with joy upon the first snowflake's arrival!
