To satisfy the yearning I ventured to the garden for camellias.
And to market, to market I went, though no fat pigs there.
Or maybe there was, but I missed seeing him, for I was looking for beauty.
Pigs are not particularly beautiful, are they? Smiling!
Instead there were flowers.
And an orchid which made my heart swoon.
Don't you just love the color of this one?
What do you do to satisfy a yearning, a desire so strong you just need to do something?
Beautiful! Those flower bouquets surely brighten the day!
ReplyDeleteWhat do you do? Well, buy an orchid, of course. Nothing else will do.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful indeed
ReplyDeleteFlowers are food for our souls.
Love Jeanne
Of course, buy flowers (and teacups and teapots),in my case!
ReplyDeleteCamellias and the orchid are gorgeous, but I can just smell those evening scented stocks.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. It seems that at this time of year we all crave color and flowers. Beautiful orchid.
ReplyDeleteOh my, that orchid is magnificent! I saw my first tulip blossom yesterday, so now I'm pondering whether to leave it outdoors or bring it inside where I'll see it more often!
ReplyDeleteYour orchid is a beauty, Marilyn. Displaying one on my coffee table makes my heart swoon too. It's wonderful how long they last and how much enjoyment one bring.
ReplyDeleteFlowers in the house are as important as food! I always try to save a little of my grocery money to get something if there's nothing in the garden yet! That orchid is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI think if I was down to my last dime and I saw flowers, I would get the flowers. These are splendid.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful flowers! I seek them out at the supermarket too, when spring is slow to arrive outdoors. How pretty they are! I recently bought an orchid too, but yours is much prettier with all those freckles!
