On the first on the year many were sharing a jar to put beautiful thoughts.
I decided this would be a great way to focus on the things I am Grateful for.
So here is my jar, fairly empty;
but I must say as I begin to feel better Gratefulness is going into this
jar and into my heart.
There is so much to be Grateful for this year
and #1 right now is the power of healing and coming back alive.
What are you Grateful for today?
Perhaps it is trite, but I am grateful that you are recovering and finding the joy and light again. And, for my sweet little purr girl!
ReplyDeleteA lovely idea and the mouse is so cute!
ReplyDeleteDear lord, that mouse made me "squee" out loud.
ReplyDeleteYou created a pretty green jar with Mr. Mouse standing by to remind you to put little slips of paper inside.
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful for a close and respectful relationship with one of our twin granddaughters.
Grateful for my new little granddaughter and to hear that you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteBlogging friends, foggy days, people who answer e-mails promptly, nice lady at the bank, a cup of tea with an artist friend … I'm not keeping a jar but I *am* mindful of being more grateful this year. When I start getting grumpy, I remind myself to stop and thank God for five things. It's amazing what a mood lifter this is!
ReplyDeleteI was sorry to hear that you were ill, and grateful that you are at home and feeling better. ☺
ReplyDeleteLoved all the beautiful photos in your recent posts. I would like a green thumb to grow an orchid like that and your little grandson is adorable taking tea. What a handsome little guy.
Lovely idea and sentiment <3 I am grateful for my dignity - ability to self-care and the most basic of ways. MS can rob folks of that and I thank God daily that I am independent in that way.
ReplyDeleteLove to you and prayers for your continued healing
Gail
peace.....
Grateful for the smile that mouse gave me. :)

So happy to learn you are recuperating well my dear. There is so much to be grateful for every single day. Right now I'm feeling encouraged by my new doctor - but I'll save my word until after I hear the result's of today's MRI!!!
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs to you two.
Your grateful jar is adorable... but I fear it's not big enough! There is much for which to be grateful! I am grateful for our friendship, even if it long distance, it is treasured.
ReplyDeleteIt's so true that one's spirit brightens as one's physical health improves after surgery or an illness.
ReplyDeleteToday I'm grateful for a warm house, the ability to hear the wind and rain lashing outside, a day of teaching, and a comfy bed to look forward to later.
This is a sweet idea, Marilyn! I did something similar with a gratitude jar. I had to switch to a bigger jar after a while. And I expect you might have to too. :o) LOVE the mousie... So glad you're feeling better! I'm grateful for friends--near and far--like you! ((HUGS))
