When fog rolls in I feel like just curling up in a blankie with a cup of tea
and hibernating for awhile.
There is a special light that engulfs the soul and holds it in it's hand.
As the day turns toward afternoon the sun breaks through and I laugh
with the warmth that surrounds me.
Yes, I can see more clearly with the sunlight,
but the fog gives me rest.
Sometimes needed is the rest, the quiet time, the reflection time.
Then when the sun comes again, we can dance!
Come again on Friday as there will be a special give-away announced.
You won't want to miss this one.
Love the way you've contrasted fog and sunshine with rest and activity. Yes, we do need both. Beautiful thoughts.
ReplyDeleteWe've had dull mornings lately and all I've wanted to do is sit and read with a cup of tea. Alas, that was not an option. I find my energy increases when the sun comes out, like this morning.
I love fog! Spending my college years in San Francisco, fog has special memories. As long as I don't have to drive in it when it's heavy fog.

Yes, the sunny mornings are definitely the ones that get me moving - it's the later heat that stops me in my tracks, I so dislike it! Some foggy mornings at the shore are always a nice change - and great pix such as these are always relaxing.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well dear - busy here but will catch up with you soon hopefully.

I love your way with words Marilyn, so beautiful. I love to watch the fog roll in, and have many photos myself I've taken!
ReplyDeleteBlankie and tea sounds good, although I have to say that photo is lovely because of the fog -- terribly atmospheric. We all need days like this now and then -- this one was your turn!
ReplyDeleteI love looking at boats that are moored for a season before they are used to go off on an adventure. It's good to catch up with you after a time away and wish you well dear friend.
ReplyDeleteVERY lovely images, Marilyn--and what a lovely place! We've had some fog here lately too. Being near the shore, we get fog often--I like it! In a few days we'll be traveling to visit family--so looking forward to that! Will be in touch when we get back. Happy Days, my friend! :o) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful shots! We have to travel quite a distance to have a day like this. But your words remind me of the rare gloomy day we have here in fall or very early spring. I want to go quiet like the birds do on those days. So nice to have a visit from you!
ReplyDeleteI love the message behind this post, and I have to add that these photos are so perfect, they would make awesome jigsaw puzzles!
