Spring Time Tea Time

For Spring I love a colorful mix of vintage pieces.
A vintage table cloth with prancing sheep fits the season.
Vintage hand embroidered napkins.
Vintage Lipton blue teapot.
Johnson Brothers plates, transferware  cups, lovely glasses
recently found at a garage sale for fresh water.
All play a pretty role in afternoon tea in the springtime.
Egg salad sandwiches are my favorite, especially with a violet
from the garden .  Chicken curry on small croissants are yummy too.
Flowers just are the icing on the cake for any tea party, but especially in springtime.
Heart shaped sandwiches with trout and tomato butterflies.
Cucumber sandwiches with a touch of lemon makes my heart happy.
Fresh berries and bananas, madeleine's drizzled in chocolate,
and pineapple upside down cake are the finishing delights of tea time.
The tea served was a Japanese black tea with yuzu peel,
all grown by the same small tea farmer in Shizuoka, Japan
 and sold at Jasmine Pearl.

It was fun to share afternoon tea on a Spring day.

  6. I don't think I've ever seen a Johnson Bros. pattern that I didn't like. No exceptions to that here! And the luncheon looks fabulous! I'd love to be sharing that with you!
