A Family Story

Most often I don't share pictures of my family,
but I just loved the way these two pictures turned out.

Last Sunday evening we ventured to the country.
A farm that belonged to my daughters friend was having a
special event.  The Audoban Society was releasing
three barn owls and we were present to see them
take flight and in a moment they were gone - free.
I tried, I really did, to get a photo of the owls for you,
but to no avail.
So just a glimpse of my sweet daughter and her family
will have to do.

Little D is my only grandchild and he is well loved.
He noticed on Sunday that I had lipstick on
and told me I had my "beauty lips on".
What a fun way of thinking of just that.

Only a glimpse into an adventure with family this week.

  2. What a dear little family and darling little grand, Marilyn. It's wonderful to share such a sweet moment with them and even if you didn't get a photo, your little grandson pointing skyward says it all. xx Karen

  6. I would have loved to see the barn owls released.
Little D and his mom and dad look so lovely walking through the field.
'Beauty lips' - I think there's another poet in the making in your little family now dear Marilyn.

  8. Just because it's me and I love family photos, if that first photo of the three of them together was of my tribe, I would want that enlarged -- big -- and framed. It is simply exquisite. (D, of course, is always cute!)

  11. I'm catching up with a few posts that seem to have slipped by me. Some I've read on my phone but it wouldn't let me add a comment. So, I'm enjoying this outing to the country this morning. D is such a handsome boy! And I know he's a delight to your heart. What a fun experience for all of you to see the owls take flight - and great memories for D.
