What a wonderful word. I so wish people would be more welcoming, Marilyn. Your post is so charming today. I love the front porch, the cup of tea, and especially the word you chose. Your home says "welcome" to me.
ReplyDeleteI hope March brings you much joy, Marilyn.

I remember 'welcome' said in English was a greeting when entering a Middle Eastern shop, often accompanied by a smile. To experience a welcoming heart and a kind gesture is precious.Being offered a cup of tea and a sit down for a chat is my favourite welcome when visiting a friend.
ReplyDeleteThat's a terrific word! And beautiful images to illustrate it!
ReplyDeleteHi, Marilyn--so good to catch up with you! Welcome... it's even just a lovely word, isn't it, and what it conjures up. We could do with more welcoming in the world, I think! ;) ((HUGS))
ReplyDeleteThe word itself has warmth in it. Definitely , The word “Welcome” is so pleasing and beautiful and a warm feeling in the heart, showing someone the love by welcoming them to our nest yes with a warm cup of tea adds more favor to the relationship. I loved your header “ seeking beauty in Everyday Life”. The blog is so lively and charming 😊 waiting for more. Blessings!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful. The porch and house looks cozy and warm. Welcome in itself is a warm word. Be it home, shop or hospital. One need to feel welcome anywhere to be in it and spend some time. I had spent some time at a hospital recently and it was like home away from home.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures and words carry so much warmth, Marilyn. The cup and saucer are so apt, quaint and so British! If I'm right, those are iron wrought chairs on the porch, aren't they?
