One of my all time favorite Mary Oliver poems:
Look and See
This morning, at waterside, a sparrow flew
to a water rock and landed, by error, on the back
of an eider duck; lightly it fluttered off, amused.
The duck, too, was not provoked, but, you might say,
was laughing.
This afternoon a gull sailing over
our house was casually scratching
its stomach of white feathers with one
pink foot as it flew.
Oh Lord, how shining and festive is your gift to us,
if we only look, and see.
With love,
Marilyn

Clearly, when you "look and see" you look hard and you see a lot. And then you transfer those sights into such beautiful photos. I kept trying to pick a favorite but they were so failed with color and happiness, I was too torn to decide!
Beautiful photos and lovely poem. Thank you so much for sharing, and warm greetings from a retired lady living in Montreal, Canada ❤️ 😊 🇨🇦
So many unique photos on here today, Marilyn. The Chinese Gardens always have interesting things to see. How fun to go on a "look and see" hunt for those unusual things in nature. That white bloom with the pink is very pretty. You're right, Marilyn, all we have to do is pay attention and look and see. Have a good last week of February. : )
