TProject Tea Tasting

On a rainy Sunday afternoon my tea group gathered
at T Project for a tea tasting.
How lovely to have this time together just to share
cups of tea and stories.
I love the sweet locally made cups,
just perfect for holding in our hands.
The surroundings of the shop just speak
of peaceful tranquility.
Adding in a good cup of tea and friendship
and it is about as perfect as you can get.

Thanks, T Project for a special afternoon.

Notes from the Garden - Chrysanthemums

I have a weakness for buying those huge pots of chrysanthemums at the market in the fall.
After they have been enjoyed for awhile, they get stuck somewhere in the garden.
The ones in our window box have gone wild and cascade down the wall so beautifully.
How I love them.

Looking online, I was curious about their meaning.  Here is what I found:
  • Lasting friendship and non-romantic affection
  • Support from your family and loved ones
  • Cheerfulness and good spirits, including cheering up a sad person
  • Rest and recovery after a long trial or challenge
  • Enduring life and rebirth, especially the birth of a child
  • Loyalty and devotion, both romantic and platonic
There are now more chrysanthemums growing in my garden.
Even if you don't buy them, stop a moment at your market and enjoy.

A Bouquet of Roses

A bouquet of roses just for you this day.
The last bouquet from the garden.

Happy weekend, dear friends!

Broken

Surrounded by brokenness, the flower shines in it's beauty.
A found object of broken, rusty iron added to this pumpkin and flower shines in it's beauty.

In all our brokenness, let our lights shine.
We are Beautiful.
We are Love.
No one can take that from us.
We will stand tall.
We will be heard.

"Come out of the masses,
Stand alone like a Lion
and live your Life
according to your own Light."
~Osho

We are Strong Women!
We are Invincible!
We are that Lioness with our head's held high.

AMEN!

Dear Sea

 Dear Sea,
You know I have always loved you.
Sometimes in Sunshine and at other times in Rain.
You are so beautiful to me.
So it was that this past weekend I once again ventured to your shores.
But you know my other love is tea.
So you see tea was also part of my weekend just there at the edge of your sandy beach.
I shared it with friends.
They said they loved having tea with me.
If you look really close on the right you will see I brought some of your beautiful
seashells to adorn our tea table.
How I love the experience of sharing tea with friends.
We tasted 4 delightful teas:  Aged Baozhong, Alishan Black, Puerh, and
for fun a flavored (what I call a dessert tea) tea called Marco Polo.
Then there was one more walk by your beautiful shore.
The sand was so squishy from the water you shared.
Even the birds enjoy visiting here.
They left a little gift of a feather just for you.
One walk with my umbrella in hand and another where it was dry.
Oh how you delight my soul.
Thank you, dear Sea, for the solitude and delight you fill me up
until our next adventure together.

Notes from the Garden - Anemone's

So true!
The Japanese Anemone's have been in our garden for 15 years.
They have leafed, but not much in the way of blooms.
This year we added mushroom compost to the garden.
Wow!  They definitely flourished and are still blooming today.

A few were picked for this bouquet,
but I found they do much better and are happier just staying in the garden.
Interestingly (to me) is that as the sun went down the petals folded in.
I was waiting for sunset to take more photos of the bouquet and
didn't realize the change until I looked at the pictures on my computer.
It was like animation of the flower.

So this is one flower that will definitely be getting mushroom compost again.
I am loving them in the garden.
