Changing of the Seasons

I am sure you can tell the changing of seasons seems so strong on my mind this week. I see the squirrels hiding walnuts in our yard in preparation for the winter months. I feel the need to prepare, even if it is only in my mind. Our garden is still producing and we are storing our food for the winter.

vs.1 To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven;
vs.2 A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck
up that which is planted;
vs. 4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance

What are you doing to prepare for the changing of the seasons?

I'm eating LOTS of late tomatoes and starting to eat apples. Am looking forward to persimmons and chestnuts!

I'm preparing for my annual trip to Apple Hill and visiting with friends and eating huge quantities of apple goodies. We do that this weekend and with this annual adventure, Fall will be official.

You leave in two days, yes? Have a blast. Can't wait to see pictures.

Smiling Hello:)
This is my very first time to visit your page. Quite lovely and enjoyed reading your most recent article.
As far as your question about what to prepare for the changing of the seasons..
Honestly, I am crying..
Just kidding.
In fact, I'm a summer girl and deeply sad why my sun goes back. Seasons will come and go. But I'm impatient one. I can't wait.

In Istanbul, it still smells summer here, lucky me:) Not yet the autumn, except only a few yellow leaves, that's all. High, still warms all of us here.
