I have found such joy in simple things; a plain clean room, a
nut-brown loaf of bread, a kettle as it sings; a leaf-laced square
along a floor where yellow sunlight glimmers through a door. I have
found such joy in things that fill my quiet days: a curtain's blowing
grace, a potted plant upon my windowsill, a rose fresh-cut and placed
within a vase. A table cleared, a lamp beside a chair, and books I
long have loved beside me there.

I have found joy in quietly sipping a cup of tea, of smelling it's essence, taking in the flavors, feeling the warmth, and the pure joy of holding the cup in my hand.

Dear One,
May you have a joyful week-end!!!
Enjoyed this post and think it is a very good and healthy thing for us to take some time to quiet ourselves and think on these things.
God bless you real good!

I will think on that! Lovely and joyful post!
What a lovely post, Marilyn. There is so much joy in little things. We just have to take the time to see it and enjoy it.
I find joy in looking at that vintage table cloth with the beautiful tall teapot. I'll take mine with cream and honey please. Thank you - so nice and warm.
I find joy wandering around my garden with a cup of hot Earl Gray after lunch. Today I have found joy in 3 cups, since it is so cold here!

Very well said; advice duly noted; thanks!
It is always the small, ordinary extraordinary things I find great JOY in too. Wishing JOY today, Marilyn :o) ((HUGS))
A posy of daisies arranged in a milk jug on my windowsill. The sound of the ocean and the laughter of my children, all simple pleasures and joys of life.
Have a blessed week daling.

The soft yellow of the cup makes me want to reach in and gingerly embrace it for a sip of jasmine tea.
Oh yes, very nice --- and I recognize the quote. ;-)
Beautiful!

What a lovely photo, and I agree, joy is found in the simple things like a cup of tea with a friend at a table covered in a vintage tablecloth with flowers cut from the garden.
