It is beginning to definitely look like Christmas here in my home.
The tree is shorter this year and sitting on a table.
I thought it would discourage little kittie paws, but I have still
seen that long arm reach out to bat a few.
Softness is the goal in my living room this year;
so I went with white, gold, silver, and just touches
of color. It is peaceful here and I am liking it.
Hope you enjoy the visit.

So pretty and lacy looking! I have all my decorating things out and am still trying to decide what colors to go for this year. It's a muddle.
ReplyDeleteI do however love your idea of having a smaller tree on the table. I don't really have a lot of room for a big tree, and it's always really tight. I might consider doing that this year.

Beautiful !!
ReplyDeleteKittie paws can stretch far --- gotta love the little critters!
ReplyDeleteYour tree is lovely, soft, serene, and comforting. I like it. It seems to say "Pour yourself a cuppa tea and come sit by me". Perfect for the holiday season!

Just love it Marilyn! Wish I could sit down and enjoy a cup of tea with you. The horn on top and the little sleight are fun additions to your decorations.
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS, Marilyn, simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful and lovely is your tree and thee.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs and Kisses of the most Kringle kind.
Love Jeanne
Your tree is lovely, thank you for sharing it! Mine is up but the ornaments are not on it yet. Getting there!
ReplyDeleteI love your tree. It reminded me of the Christmas tea when I sat by your fireplace and sipped tea with you and another friend. I'm longing for a 'gentler' look this year, too. Wanting to go with the same idea you have chosen. You're an inspiration!

Looks like an old fashioned tree, I like the drape you got using the beads, it is very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting it done.
Merry Christmas
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteYour tree is beautiful. Good luck with the cat. (Our cats kept trying to climb our tree.)
ReplyDeleteIt's so beautiful, in an old-fashioned kind of way, simpler and charming. Though I can see lots of temptations for our feline friends, even up on a table!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tree! Great photography as well!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
Katherine
Soft and peaceful, indeed, Marilyn! Your tree is beautiful, and I love the spacing between each tier of branches so the ornaments can really show and the garlands can drape perfectly. Thanks for welcoming us into your living room! xo Gigi
ReplyDeleteSimple elegance! I just love it! My tree isn't up yet, but you've inspired me to get a move on!
ReplyDeleteI love your drapey, swoopy garland.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Simple-and-elegant is always a great combination!
ReplyDeleteIt's stunning, Marilyn. Just stunning. I love your real tree with all its "spaces." My pretend one is so "full" that the beads don't show up so well. This is simply a treasure in every way.
ReplyDeleteSo, I'm guessing the softest, non-breakables are near the bottom!
Peaceful. Yes, indeed!
love this tree! glorious!
