We stopped today in Sheridan, WY
where Buffalo Bill once lived.
There were many beautiful statues throughout the downtown.
I particularly liked this because they were dancing!
I hope you are taking time to dance.
We stopped in the small town of Dayton, WY.
This is the gateway to Yellowstone and the Tetons.
Oh how we wished they were open, but we were too early.
Breakfast in a small town cafe is always fun to see
the towns people.
I am going backward here, as early in the morning we
were still in Montana. It seemed to take forever
to drive through that state.
I had heard about this sign on Sunday Morning recently,
so it was fun to see it on the road. We saw three of them
A man is hoping to make signs all around the country
of each states Capital building with the Govenors name.
I just had to include this, as much of yesterday and today
our travels looked like this. It was either snowing,
raining, or an occasional sighting of the sun.
Another day from the road and now in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Hi Marilyn, love the pictures, especially the weather picture. Very moody and atmospheric. I was surprised the cafe wasn't open. Considering the location, I would have expected it to be opened at the crack of dawn.
So, ride on, my friend. I'm following you all the way.
That sounds like an abundance of miles you are covering. Beautiful photos to document your travels.
Enjoying following your travels, this place charming.
That is a part of the country that I have never visited. T and I were talking about making the trip this year! So happy that you are leading the way and sharing!
The snow scen is beautiful, tho I'm sure it makes driving difficult. Safe going!
Hope that weather improves for your road trip Marilyn - looks a bit cold and dreary in that last image! A good hot cuppa was needed at the next stop I'm sure!
Hugs - Mary
How far back east are you coming? All the way to Missouri?? I hope, I hope.
I did a road trip last year, leaving SF Bay area May 16- our first day was just like the photo above going through the Sierras. Love your photos- much further north than we traveled. I found I LOVED being on the road- total of 6wks, including stops and visits. Are you enjoying being on the road?
It looks like you and your family had a great trip! The photo of Rapid City is very cool, even though it was so dreary. You should try to come back during the summer and see the sites that you may have missed. Plan you next vacation with us :) www.visitrapidcity.com
