Easter Tea Time

Early morning, Easter Sunday~

The table is set.
Flowers here and there around the house.
My favorite part is the flowers.

Food is ready for guests to arrive.
This is polenta with pesto, tomato, and green onion.
Hummus on a few for those that can't have dairy in the pesto.
I almost missed that one.
Yes, this was mostly gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free, dairy-free afternoon tea.

Two little girls will be sitting here.

Even the desserts were waiting.
Gluten-free orange olive oil cakes with strawberries.
Regular lemon chocolates for most of the guests, gluten and dairy free lemon chocolates for two guests.
Toy peeps for the littlest guests.

Shrimp salad, oops it had mayonaise.
Missed that one, so thawed some larger shrimp for the two needing no eggs.

Marinated veggies with cucumber cups filled with hummus

Oh, two of the guests have arrived.

Green beans wrapped in bacon with a marinade poured over and baked.
This was quite good.

Tuna tartare in endive leaves.  Always one of my favorites.

There also were regular scones and gluten free scones, which everyone enjoyed with jam.
A gluten free chocolate mousse finished the day.
Tea served was a herbal Tulsi and Alishan Oolong.
Sparkling Cherry Juice for the younger guests.  Of course, it was served in a teapot too.

Another Easter Tea for family and friends.
It was pure delight!

How pretty everything looks. I however would want eggs and flour and sugar, you know, all the good stuff!

Oh, Marilyn! Your tea is extraordinary and spectacular - from the tablescape to the delicious foods, even amid the challenge of several food allergies. What a labor of love, and I know your guests had a wonderful time. The photos are great. I especially enjoyed seeing the two little girls sitting at their special tea table. Thanks so much for sharing.

Marilyn, this is just breathtaking! What a fabulous tea! I could even go gluten and dairy free if it was that good! Would you consider sharing your bacon/green bean dish with me? It's beautiful. Oh, so is the tuna. It's just glorious!

What an amazing hostess you are! And the table is divine!

What a delightful Easter table. All the foods looks delicious. I loved seeing your first guest sitting so nicely at their special table. So glad you shared this with us. At our home we opted for homemade sauce with turkey meatballs over spaghetti with a lush salad, since only hubby, Ry and I. Still a nice peaceful weekend. Happy Spring Blessings.

How lovely! I especially enjoyed seeing your green Depression glass and the pretty Candlewick bowl. Plus the two cuties who arrived early! I've been on the lookout for egg-free and dairy-free recipes lately for my granddaughter, it's a bit of a challenge but it can be done. So I appreciated your efforts to provide things that each of your guests could enjoy - and I'm SURE they did!

Looks like you had a beautiful Easter! I adore that photo of light streaming through--those are my favorite type of photos (like Toshi Otsuki from you-know-where!). And the little girls, and the yummy food ... sounds fun AND delicious!
