Fairies Visiting for Tea

When tiptoeing, traipsing, or running through life I am sometimes caught by the little things.
The fairies that I sometimes see in my peripheral vision that dance for me.
When I recently saw this plate at my favorite shop, I knew the fairies had visited here.
The flowers just said a fairy painted it.
So a fairy cupcake was placed on the plate and I shared in the day by dancing
in the light of the moon surrounded by the flowers shining faces.
The flowers formed the fairies skirts and I wore my tutu.
We danced, we sang, we laughed, and we played.
And yes, we put sprinkles on cupcakes to celebrate the laughter there.
Tea was served with this little delight.
In my cup there was Stash's Fancy Golden Tippy Hao Ya,
a tea worthy any day or night while dancing with the fairies.
What's in your cup today?
Are you dancing with the fairies?

  2. Such a pretty design on that plate and the vintage napkins. The fairies are still cloaked in winter jackets here.

  5. How sweet Marilyn! I feel the fairies here have left for warmer climate. And it's too cold and wet to go searching further!

  6. I love this post - the idea of a fairy having painted the lovely plate and the cupcake looked so delicious.
Today I had green tea with roasted brown rice and I sweetened it with honey. I drank it outside on our newly adorned deck with flowers and hanging plants and bird feeders and the sun was shining brightly as I read and sipped my soothing tea.
    Lovely....

  7. Well, of COURSE a fairy painted that plate! No mere mortal could do anything so perfect. It also looks like a fairy might have made that cupcake! I'm so glad you enjoy the dance, Marilyn -- you help us enjoy it, too.

  8. Today it's not my cup, but my daughter's. She had a BIG test today and really persevered on a hard question. I was so proud of her and asked her what she'd like for a treat. In her cup today? A Frostee from Wendy's.

  9. I'm loving the plate, and the pretty cake. Those napkins are so sweet - I see some stitches I may need to replicate now I'm doing some embroidery again!

Sorry dear, rushing about as we leave for PA in the morning - it's been a crazy week as MIL took a turn for the worse, BUT has rallied again, and hopefully we'll have a nice visit with her and other family members.

Need some sleep - so off now.
    Happy weekend - Mary X

  10. This is sooo enchanting, Marilyn! I love tulle tutus, fairies and fairy cupcakes! I've always wanted to have a May Day party with fairy cupcakes and costumes... But May 1st is too chilly for outdoor parties here... so I'll just dream! In my cup right now is hot chocolate...mmm... Some indulgence for Friday. ;o) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))

  13. Well, I'm not exactly dancing with the fairies yet (25 years of work-work-work impulses don't go away easily!), but I AM stopping to smell the roses, as we say, along the way! Your new plate is just lovely, and the story surrounding it is priceless!
