HOPE

Some days in the darkness and gloom we feel buried in the sand.
Drowning under the surface.
Gasping for breath.
Then HOPE takes us in it's grip and JOY bubbles forth.
It takes us by surprise and lifts us up above the grime.
Once more we can laugh.
Once more we can dance.
For HOPE has met us there at the center of despair.
So look for the small things, the things that delight.
Let HOPE grasp you and lift you and hold you up high.

  3. Thought provoking, lovely words Marilyn and I believe they are your own. I especially like the idea of 'looking for the small things, the things that delight'.

Today I looked for acorns for a project - needless to say the squirrels got there before me - this was a year when they are scarce. Then I walked around the garden looking for small joys of Nature to photograph........found a few pretty leaves and blooms which lifted me up.

Love your thoughts and the pic is perfect.

  4. A beautiful image to go with the words. That bubbling up water looks like a swan just dipping his beak in the pool so for me it conveys something positive, which hope is.
