When standing and smiling in the flower stall
Small buds I did observe
They didn't really entice me
Scraggly, twisty, and rather scrawny
Should I take a chance?
Would anyone love these little buds?
A chance I finally gave them
Home they came
As I watched them unfurl and shine
I fell in love
Oh, Ranunculus, how beautiful
Like a sweet ballerina's skirt, so sweet and lovely
in the morning sun

Lovely, lovely!!! I'm in love with that pink teapot, too. I'm a closet pink lover - I hate to admit it, but I can. That's just lovely!
Such sweet words Marilyn and a beautiful photograph!

Most definitely one of my favorite flowers. We usually start seeing them here around Easter. When I go to our market I fill the cart with Ranunculus and hydrangeas (with a few bulb gardens). It can't come soon enough.
Very pretty!
I became acquainted with ranunculus not too many years ago and fell in love with their ruffled charm. Yours are such a pretty pink.
Such sweetness this! And such beauties... More and more I grow to love ranunculus--so much like roses they are! :o) Thank you for this BIG bit of happy today, Marilyn! Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
Beautiful flowers and verse.

Happy day, Marilyn from Ruthie
I adore ranunculus, too. There are scads of them coming up in my front yard, and buds are forming! Your photos are gorgeous!
These are just exquisite! They remind me of little peonies!
Oh I do adore ranicule (as the French say) and its many layers. Yours are so pretty!
They certainly are a beautiful flower. I love the pink color.
