Almost like magic, the light changed to a golden glow and the rain began to fall.
Fall or as I like calling it, Autumn had arrived.
Right on schedule pumpkins appeared.
And the leaves began to fall.
The flower pots just outside my door now have nuts buried
here and there by the squirrels. I have never seen them quite so busy.
Does that mean it will be a long, wet, cold autumn and winter?
I hope not, but for today I will just sit back and enjoy the feeling of tucking into the nest.
Happy Autumn!

Beautiful! I love Autumn! I have heard that it's going to be a harsh winter.
Autumn has definitely begun here, too. More rain on the mainland than the island, although we get our fair share. Time for coziness.
My tea drinking is shifting, too!
Ahhh! Twirly curly vine tendrils! Instant nostalgia! I loved them so much as a kid! I used to twine them around my fingers!
It is hard to believe that Fall has arrived... I'm still wondering what happened to Summer!
How does it know? I spent a couple of days up north closing the cottage and while things weren't in FULL color yet, there was enough to say there is no getting away from it! I didn't really feel we had a summer. It sure flies! Gorgeous photos here, You are right about the light.
I love the change of seasons here in our area. I'm ready to settle down and fully embrace Autumn.

I like the word "Autumn" too ... and one day this week I stopped my work because I was so smitten by the golden light streaming through the trees outside my window that I had to pause to write about it!
