Photos: Beauty of the roses in my garden. The fragrance is intoxicating!
"The best and most beautiful things in the world
cannot be seen or even touched.
They must be felt with the heart."
~Helen Keller
Many things bring great delight to me: tea, gardens, flowers, outdoors, food, and friends that cross my path. These all make my heart sing with small chuckles, giggles, laughter, and tears. It is my desire to seek beauty all around me, have the heart of a wanderer, a storyteller.

I love that quote! It is so true.
Felt with the heart and smelled with the nose :)
Beautiful flowers and one of my favorite quotes.
Gorgeous flowers - roses are wonderful!
Dearest friend - now that I'm feeling a lot better I read through all your posts missed whilst away - Internet was soooo slow on the ship!
First, Bob and I were so sorry to learn of Jim's Mother passing away, and also your dear aunt. I'm sure those two lovely ladies are now enjoying tea in a garden of roses, "far from the madding crowd".
Speaking of roses - and who doesn't talk of the most beautiful of flowers and Portland in the same breath - your pix of blooms in every hue are just lovely. I loved the post of your morning ritual too - mine is similar except right now having arrived home feeling really sick - but I'll soon be back on track hopefully!
I quickly popped in at your new blog - and will visit again. It looks like a great site for anyone heading to Portland.
We had quite a trip, one of the most strenuous ever! Seeing so much of Europe was delightful but being home again is always a treat.
Love and hugs - Mary XO
It will be awhile before we see roses here -- these are gorgeous!
Beautiful quote... beautiful roses!
That third image is fantastic. Makes me dream.
Now, it is no surprise that I absolutely love-love-love these rose photos (as Eloise might say).
