Isn't this the perfect paper cut for a tea lady?
Vintage red embroidery recently found at my favorite "fairy shop".
It says "Splish Splash" and has birds splashing in a bird bath.
Now it covers the pillow on the bed awaiting a guest in my office/bedroom.
I love the small treats found recently at a side walk sale at Bella Flora.
Just what I wanted, though I didn't know it until I saw them.
Small treats are the best.
Do you love finding "small treats"?
The secret to a happy life is continuous small treats.

I love them both, especially the papercut! I remember there was a short time in the 90s when papercuts were all the rage for illustrating picture books! It was a wonderful time!
Great finds. The embroidery is cute.
The Iris Murdoch quotation is one of my favorites, and yes, I definitely enjoy discovering small treats. Love the embroidery and the waiting guest room.
I would love to be your guest in that room Marilyn! It's beautiful! Yes the paper cut is so you! I love finding all the small things that add special touches to my home. You have a wonderful eye for decorating.
Love red embroidery. So pretty on the pillow. Guests will feel especially welcomed.
Small treats are the best. That paper cut is amazing.
I love that quote! And those special treats.
Lovely scherenschnitte! I have one with a tea pot cutout, but not nearly as intricate as the one shown here.
