Saturday I ventured out to a ceramics sale in a tealovers garden.
I didn't realize that it would be more than that.
I just wanted to see beautiful handmade ceramics by Richard Brandt.
There were special things to see with each step through the garden.
I loved it all.
Even the teahouse at the back of the garden.
Do you see it back there?
But there was more!!
There was a tea tasting going on.
Andy from eco-cha in Taiwan was making tea.
The small leaf black tea from the Dong Ding region of Taiwan
was quite delicious. Wishing I had bought some now.
I will be visiting his website soon to order.
As he explained instead of making a summer oolong
the farmer picks and creates this special black tea with leaves
from the same plants that they earlier pick for oolong teas.
He was using Richard Brandt's special tea table.
The tea and the teaware were all amazing!!
A tea experience I hadn't expected, but one I totally delighted in.
You can find terrific teas here at eco-cha.com

What a fun event! Certainly understand why you would have delighted in this experience! Such a beautiful ginkgo leaf tea table.
Tea tasting, how delightful. In my old town, me and the girls were supposed to go to a tea tasting, but we never got around to it. The tea you mention here sounds nice. Black tea is a favorite of mine, along with green. Have you ever tried white tea? It's supposed to be the purest form. I was introduced to it one day when I went inside a tea shop at the mall. It's really tasty. These ceramics are cool. Enjoy your leaf black tea, Marilyn!

Oh Marilyn, you had to SO be in your element! I can see you loving and savoring every single second. Love all the various pottery pieces shown too!
What a beautiful place to exhibit those beautiful pots which I assume were for sale! I would have definitely bought one as I love individually crafted pots. The tea tasting must have been interesting also.
Marilyn, two of my favorite things - tea and flowers! Gorgeous post! BTW, the link in your name when you comment on blogs does not lead back here. Thought you might want to fix that.
