Searching for salmon recently with family.
The clouds were low and it might not look like it, the water was high.
We searched, as the salmon were "running".
It was time for them to lay their eggs.

It was time for them to lay their eggs.
We searched, but not one was spotted.
We hiked in the beautiful forest along the river.
The only salmon spotted was cooking over the fire.
Can you see it?
It was a beautiful autumn day.
Spending time with family, hiking, and savoring the day
was all that was really needed to make it extra special.
How I love the outdoors with each season,
but autumn has it's own kind of delights from fallen leaves to fallen twigs
and rushing water; all delights of being outdoors on a chilly day.
This adventure took place at Oxbow Park along the Sandy River.
Sometimes just getting out and walking no matter where is
extra special when doing with people you love.
Happy Halloween, dear friends!

This does look like them most wonderful day, even if a bit chilly! I'm glad you had that warm fire to come back to. And yes, I saw the salmon!
I bet that salmon was delicious. I love walking into nature also no matter where it is. Happy Halloween to you also. Thelma.
Your walk by the river was special because you shared the sights and sounds along the way with loved ones. The photos you take of your river walks are beautiful. The stretch of river Thames in my home county is my favourite place to walk although the rivers that meander through the wild countryside in Yorkshire and Derbyshire are special too. The water runs fast and high just now.
There is something special about autumn days out, isn't there... days out in nature. What a lovely place... And that fish right from the fire must have tasted sooo GOOD! Thanks for taking us along! :) ((HUGS))
