My Word for 2012

As many of you know BELIEVE was my word for 2011.
Most of the year I thought about things I believed in,
but as the year draws to an end I realized the biggest lesson
learned was to BELIEVE  in myself.
Lesson learned.

Recently as I was reviewing the year and beginning to plan
for next year, I made a list of those things I wanted to include in 2012.
As I was finishing up the list, my word just popped up unexpectedly.
At first it scared me alot.
But then I told myself after celebrating JOY in 2010
and BELIEVE in 2011, I was ready for a challenge.
Scary or not here it is:  PASSION.
I am totally curious where this one will take me.
Right after I chose the word I found a set of CD's in my office
Finding Your Passion by Cheryl Richardson.
Whew!  This must be the word speaking to me.
So here I go watching and observing this word for 2012.

The first thought, PASSION has the color of red; so I placed this word
in my red bowl just to see how it felt there.

  So the process has begun.
Have you chosen a word for 2012?
It is amazing what adventures it can take you on.
Go ahead, challenge yourself.
Let me know how it goes and what word you have chosen.

My word for 2012 is HONOR...for my home, family, friends, and myself. I will have to figure out what it means, but I do know honoring my home means that I will take better care of what I have. I tend to be messy and like how things look when I honor my friends and family with a welcoming home. I don't know if this will make sense to anyone except me, but it is my word. Happy 2012 to you and be passionate in it.♥♫

Marilyn, I have so enjoyed reading your blog and getting to "know" you this year. I don't think I have an official word for the year, but I do find myself hoping for good things to come. Hope. Yes, it's a good word.
Have a very Happy New Year!!

Ah, passion and red are both very wonderful things! I love the way He sometimes gives us a word for the year. May your 2012 be filled with discovery and growth and learning what passion means in His eyes for you.

"Water" as I said on the blog. Because it's important to remember to water the houseplants/drink enough water and so easy to forget to do those things when we're busy!

Your word for the New Year is wonderful! You will find it interesting as if unfolds through the year. I can't wait to hear all about it! I'm not quite ready to reveal my word yet. Soon, real soon. Wishing you a wonderful New Year filled with passion and joy and so many blessings you'll find it hard to believe it all!

I have tried for 2 years to find a word for the year, but nothing ever worked for me. Last night I couldn't sleep and kept wondering what your word was. I asked God to give me a word if I was supposed to have one. I almost fell back asleep when the word GRACE came floating into my mind. I am about the last graceful person on earth but maybe that's why I need this word. It really does feel right today! I'll let you know how it goes!

Passion is a word with many avenues. I am sure you will explore and experience many of them during your year of the word.

To me, the most important thought of that word is to remember that it is easy to experience, but you must be sure to never lose it.

This is a great word you have chosen. What is life without passion, although so many of us seem to have lost it. I'll have to give this some thought and consider what I'm really passionate about in my life. Looking forward to seeing where it leads you.

Happy New Year,
Maureen

Marilyn, I think once again you've chosen the perfect word for YOU! I know you undertake everything with a deep passion - your travels, your tea parties and tasting, your flowers, even your zip lining, ha! ha!

I've yet to think of my word, so many to choose from after this amazing year of venturing forth to places unknown and awesome. It may just have to be something simple such as HOME - because that will always be the most important place to me, and where I'll be anxious to return to.

Happy New Year dear friend - looking forward to keeping in touch in 2012.

Hugs - Mary

Well...I have been on vacation for almost 3 weeks now. I think I have renewed my batteries and am good to go. I think if I were to choose a word for the new year it would have to be Appreciation. I continue to work on this daily, and I want it to grow and grow. From as simple as a fresh breath to the love I feel for my grandson. You are always a fresh breath of inspiration and I appreciate your kind words always. Happy New Year!
