No one seems to want our "Free" offering today.
When tomatoes start showing up there,
it will be a change of heart.
This year there may even be pumpkins sitting here.
Our garden sometimes looks a bit "rag tag" at times.
I wonder if it is that everything is allowed to grow where it wants,
be what it wants to be.
A bit like life when we keep it clear of pests,
but don't weed it as regularly as it needs.
Life overtakes and it gets overgrown.
It is work, this life of ours;
but oh so rewarding.

A good idea to offer excess for free at the curb. I share our harvest with the couple next door. I've seen people bring their extras and leave them on a table just inside the doors at church...I like this way of sharing.
Ooh, what a great idea! I've given zucchini to family and neighbors, but there may be more who would like something from the garden!
I like your lady bug sign. The free sign us a great idea.
Sort of like my flower gardens, Marilyn. They start out organized and weeded, but as summer goes on, and the flowers start re-seeding themselves, they take on a whole different appearance! Love your sign!!
Oh, yes--such a way to share is such a gift! If I weren't so far away I'd happily take that little yellow squash! (Yellow squash is a rarity here. Green, yes, yellow--not so much.) I'd leave you some tea in exchange. ;o) LOVE the ladybug sign too! Life is definitely like a garden. If we don't do some weeding every now and again, it all becomes a jumble and get caught in the woodbine! ;o) ((HUGS))

This week I've made zucchini cookies (baking right now), zucchini bread (yesterday), added zucchini to vegetarian chili (yum!), and sliced zucchini for refrigerator pickles. Let's see, I'll pass on your 'free' offer too. Might even add to your pile as I still have 16 green and yellow squash in my fridge. Oh my - it's so prolific! Guess I need that 'free' sign! Gotta love the summer harvest!
What a great post! My life is definitely a bit weedy and overgrown right now. I do love a tidy and orderly garden (and life)! But it is never the one I have. So nice to let me know that you stopped by my place! (And I certainly would have grabbed that free squash!)

I love yellow squash - especially for Curried Summer Squash soup!
