Leaving Paris on the train we were off to London through the Chunnel.
Having never spent much time in England and London, I wanted to
give it a chance to win my heart.
The first stop was a ride on The Eye our first evening.
A view of London from The Eye.
Down below the music played.
The river Thames moved through the city.
To tell you the truth the massiveness and throngs of people was almost overwhelming.
The following morning we returned to the river near The Eye
and decided to take a river ride.
This is the wharf where once upon a time tea arrived in England.
I guess I should have done my research better
for at the end of the river boat ride we found ourselves here in Greenwich.
I almost cried when I saw this sight. I was thrilled.
Can you guess what it is?
Tomorrow I will share more.
Note: Well what was I thinking, I posted both my Wednesday and then
my Thursday posts today. Follow along to the next post to see what we
saw in Greenwich.

And of course there needed to be a photo of the telephone booth.
If you peak through the window there is also the mail box on the other side.
How I love red!

Love all your photos.... enjoy being transported to one of my favorite cities through your travels! We stayed very close to the London Eye, and walked across the Westminster bridge everyday. It was not so crowded in the morning, but by the time we returned to the hotel at the end of the day the throngs of tourists on the bridge was overwhelming.
Dear Marilyn:
You have captured it all! How wonderful this trip was - you are so blessed. Thanks for sharing and linking.
I loved the Eye...and walking around London on the Embankment both sides is a favorite thing. Great photos! I love the Cutty Sark!

I'm loving reliving past trips to England as I read about your travels.
I have a photo with one foot on each side of the Prime Meridian Line at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich...what a thrill that was!
Loved the London Eye....well, honestly I loved everything!
Wonderful photos, Marilyn! Each one makes me want to hop a plane!
What a fantastic view! I'm too scared of heights to venture up in the eye!
Thank you for sharing your photos!
