This is my reading chair,
but more than likely you will find me in bed
each evening reading.
I have become so addicted to reading
I can't go to sleep at night without reading for awhile.
Reading comforts me, educates me, inspires me,
and entertains me.
Did you know October was National Book Month. I didn't either.
But in an email I recently received from Bella Grace that is what they said.
They included a list of some of their favorite books.
It made me start wondering what your favorite books are?
How I would love to hear.

What are you reading right now?
Next to my bed this week you will find:
The Italian Matchmaker by Santa Montefiore
The Dance of the Dissident Daughter by Sue Monk Kidd
When Wanderers Cease to Roam by Vivian Swift
Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach

I am reading "Life Goes On" by Becca Rowan, a blogger who is a most gifted writer (beccarowan.com) -- I think you would love it. Essays, mostly from her blog, on life in middle age and they are exquisite. I just finished my second Imogen Quy mystery by Jill Paton Walsh and will probably be doing one of the classic British vintage mysteries next or Ruth Reichl's "Comfort Me with Apples."
Oh, I didn't know it was National Book Month. I'll have to pass it on to Nel, as she is a book lover. I haven't read a good book in such a long time. I've been wanting to do that. Your reading chair is so charming, Marilyn. I can see why you like reading there. I used to love to read about Princess Diana. Your posts always make me smile, and the J.K. Rowling is splendid.

Our city has the annual book festival this month. There have been many good speakers talking about their writing each day as well a activities for all ages. It's near the end of the festival now and I'm going to the Readers' Day on Saturday. The authors that will be speaking about their latest fiction book are new to me so I'm looking forward to what they have to say.
