Home is where the Heart is

Home is where the Heart is.
This is a different form of a home.
Someone lived here once, but
now it only holds memories and ghosts.

This is my home for April at the Dollhouse Project.
Each month I am portraying a different art form and a home.
The top picture is the original photograph and
the lower picture is an altered photograph on Photoshop Element.
I am just beginning to learn this new art form, but
I see all kinds of fun possibilities.

Soon I will be leaving my home for adventure,
but at the end of the adventure I will look forward to home.

Marilyn, I am having a hard time identifying this lighthouse. Can you give me a clue?

I've been thinking about your adventure this week --- and am wishing you GREAT TIMES!

I knew it had to be somewhere on the Oregon coast... so I looked it up... Yaquina Bay Lighthouse.

Yes, it is Yaquina Bay Lighthouse in Newport, Oregon. I love the lighthouses along the Oregon coast.

A lighthouse! I've always wanted to say in one of those, let alone live in one! So sad that this one is boarded up... I like to imagine it alive with living again! Beautiful place--easy to see why you chose this one. Happy Weekend, Marilyn... and fun looking forward to your trip soon! :o) ((HUGS))

Love and hugs
That looked like a gorgeous home
It is too bad someone cannot move in and love it well.
Love you

A boarded up lighthouse? In Oregon? Somehow that does not seem possible. Happy photoshopping.

I do love that lighthouse. I've only seen it once in person, but your picture took me right back there.

Looks like I shall have to politely arm-wrestle a few others for the chance to live in the lighthouse! Yes, I have been to Newport, long time ago and not on a sunny day as when you snapped your pic... boy, I would do great, loving things to and with that house... sigh. xo, travel funly,
Trix

Again, you inspire me with your interpretation of the dollhouse project! I love it! Today, I will return to my own project because of your nudge. :)

While you are traveling to the far reaches of the globe, I will be traveling, too. To Germany. Back in the 3rd week of May. I look forward to reading of your great adventure! And thank you for the lovely comment about my magazine.

xoxo, Graciel
